Privacy Policy

Effective [DATE] · Last updated September 21, 2026

Draft. This document is pending review by counsel. Highlighted items are placeholders to be completed before launch.

This policy explains what [ENTITY LEGAL NAME, e.g. EvenlyTaxed LLC] (“EvenlyTaxed,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use evenlytaxed.com and our homestead exemption services, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are a private company. We are not affiliated with the Travis Central Appraisal District, the Texas Comptroller, or any government office.

1. What we collect

Public appraisal records. Before you contact us, we already hold public information about Travis County properties published by the appraisal district: property ID, situs address, owner name of record, appraised and assessed values, exemption status, and school district. We use it to show whether an exemption appears on file for an address.

Information you give us. When you check an address, request your exact estimate, or start a filing, you may provide your email address, mobile number, full name, the month you moved into the home, whether your Texas ID shows the property address, and — only for a filing — the driver’s license or state ID number the appraisal district requires on Form 50-114.

Payment information. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store full card numbers; we hold a Stripe customer reference and, for done-for-you service, a saved payment method token.

Technical information. IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, used for security, rate limiting, and bot prevention (Cloudflare Turnstile). We do not use advertising cookies or sell browsing data.

2. How we use it

3. Who we share it with

We share information only as needed to deliver the service: licensed Texas property tax consultants who file done-for-you applications as your designated agent; Stripe (payments); Resend (email delivery); Anvil (electronic signature); Airtable and Vercel (hosting and records); and the appraisal district, which receives your application. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with data brokers or marketers.

4. Text messages

If you check the box to receive texts, we will send updates about your filing only. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

5. Retention

We keep your driver’s license or ID number only until your application is filed with the appraisal district, then delete it from our systems. We keep filing records, correspondence, and payment records for [RETENTION PERIOD, e.g. 4 years] after your last filing, as needed for tax-year deadlines, refunds, and our legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your account information sooner (see Section 7); we may retain what the law requires.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, stored with access-controlled providers, and reachable only by staff and consultants who need it to handle your filing. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices

Texas residents may have additional rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act. We honor verified requests to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising or sale (we do neither).

8. Children

Our services are for property owners and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes

We will post any changes here and update the date above. Material changes affecting an active filing will be emailed to you.
